What is your main inspiration behind your brand?

The main inspirations behind my brand are the people I get to work with, their journeys and their stories. Each project is so unique and I get to immerse myself into other people’s lives and brands to best visually translate their ideas. It’s an honour.

What is the goal behind your brand/business?

To make the world a more beautiful place through illustration, design and stories.

What was/is your biggest struggle?

I think the thing I struggle with the most is to remain unflinchingly motivated. I want to do everything for everyone and that leaves me feeling pretty overwhelmed and burnt out. My goal for this year is to learn how to say no when I need to and to be all right with that decision.

Where do you hope to see yourself/your business in 5 years?

If I can grow my family both in size, love, faith and strength that would be a blessing for me in the next five years. I would love to find a way to lead a less stressful life business-wise. I have grown so much as a creative entrepreneur and my business is thriving, but I need to find a way to do less.

If you could be doing anything else other than this, what would you be doing?

Event planning! I love lists and creative ideas figuring out how people can best experience an event. It’s something I’m quite good at. My workshops used to be incredible (if I must say so myself). I just find that I stress myself out too much with event planning, so definitely not a full-time career choice.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (doesn’t have to be business related)?

Learn to say no and love it (I’m still learning!).

Who in the industry/world do you most look up to? Why?

I have so many brands that I love following on Instagram, but I couldn’t name one in particular that I look up to really. I try to look up to myself in 5 years.

Favourite music to listen to while working?

I have a chill mix on iTunes that I love at the moment. It makes me happy. I generally bounce between my classical concentration playlist, my opera playlist and then the cheeky pop playlists for when I need a boost. I listen to a lot of series while I draw or design. I still struggle with the Podcast thing, I find it a bit boring.

What are your top 3 favourite movies?

I would have to say I adored A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody from last year. To be honest, though, it’s probably the only two movies I watched in the cinema and that is because Sean loves movies and I go with him. Growing up I was quite obsessed with the Matrix, Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Alien vs Predator (can you tell these are all inspired by quality time with my dad?).
